Hard-Wearing

The DVG line utilises a combination of zinc-magnesium coated steel and seawater proof aluminium, making it suitable for coastal and demanding environments.

Effective

The DVG line is built for regular, continuous use of media temperatures up to 120°C, and 400°C for at least 120 min in case of emergency. This allows the unit to function in a range of environments or adapt to suit your specific project or business.

Power & Versatility

The unit is built around a motor housed outside of the model’s air stream. IEC B5 motor at AC versions. All EC versions can operate at 50/60 Hz. Speed can be controlled through a frequency converter at AC version, while EC fans through voltage analog input. Service switch on the casing’s exterior.

Construction

The unit follows a horizontal (DVG-H) or vertical (DVG-V) exhaust design and is used for smoke and heat venting in the event of an emergency (fire) or as part of standard working procedure.

The casing with integrated bird protection is manufactured from sea water resistant aluminium. The base frame is made of pre-galvanised steel, zinc-magnesium (ZM) coated.

This makes it suitable for coastal deployment and a range of demanding environments where reliable extraction is a priority.

The unit is also classified for snow load class according to SL 1000 (DVG-H units with horizontal exhaust), making it suitable for a range of heated and unheated buildings or use-cases.

Impeller

Impeller with backward-curved blades is manufactured from pre-galvanized steel (sizes 355, 450), respectively from steel, welded and galvanised.

Motor

Motor outside air stream is cooled with fresh air. Connection to power supply in the service switch, connection to controller inside casing.

Single speed IEC electric motors are of IE3 efficiency rate, while fans with motor output lower than 0,75 kW are of IE2 eficiency rate, and double speeed in IE1 efficiency rate., but EC version motors are of efficiency IE5 rate.

Motor protection

PTC serial built-in. For two speed fans (up to 4 kW) two speed switch is available as accessory (in this case thermal contact must be ordered; not suitable for PTC or without thermal contact). In case of fire eventual two speed switch and all motor protective devices must be bridged to guarantee functional capability (connection direct to the mains).

Control

For speed control use only frequency converter (please see instructions for details). Not suitable for voltage control. If frequency converter is used in case of fire, PTC must be bridged and switching on max. speed even after eventual short supply cut off assured. Operating over 50 Hz is allowed at units on request and when san is used for standard application only. At frequency controlled units additional EMC protection could be needed (on request).

Installation & Use

For outdoor roof installation. The design is suitable for regular, daily use. This can be coupled with an IE1, IE2, IE3 or EC motor capable of ventilating media of up to 120°C and accommodating temperatures of 400°C for up to 120 minutes if required.
