RTRDU

5-step transformer for effective speed control of fans

  • 3-phase transformer

  • Motor protection

  • Manual adjustment

  • Effective operation

5-step transformer

The RTRDU is a three-phase transformer designed to control the fan speed by altering the supply voltage in five fixed steps.
RTRDU has two knobs for setting low and high speed. By using an external change-over contact, you can switch between the two speeds set on the knobs.

Motor protection

An integral motor protection device is included which cuts the supply voltage to the fan if thermal contact in the fan motor is activated.

230V terminals

The RTRDU has output terminals for operating dampers, electric heater batteries or other external equipment.

The RTRDU is a manual 5-step 3-phase transformer. The transformer controls the fan speed by altering the supply voltage in five fixed steps. The RTRDU has two knobs on the front, one for low fan speeds and one for high fan speeds. Switching between the low and high settings is carried out by an external change-over contact. This could be a thermostat or a timer.

The RTRDU is available in three different sizes for different motor current. The controller features integral motor protection which cuts the supply voltage to the fan if the thermal contact in the fan motor is activated. The unit can be reset by turning the switch to zero. After ten seconds have elapsed the unit will restart. The transformer has 230V output terminals for operating dampers, electric heaters or other external equipment. The indicator lamp on the front shows when the transformer is in operation.
