VKM is a motorised shutter for DVS/DHS, DVSI, and DVN.
Robust construction
VKM consists of flanges manufactured from galvanised steel, and shutter blades manufactured from seawater-resistant aluminium.
Servo motor
The VKM shutter is equipped with a servo motor, which can be operated manually as well as through the automatic controllers of the air conditioning unit. While the motor is energized the shutter stays open. When separated from the supply the shutter will close automatically.
The VKM motorised damper is suitable for DVS/DHS and DVN fans. The backdraft damper is equipped with a servo motor (230V/50Hz/25W). While the fan is running, the shutter remains open. When the damper is disconnected from the supply, it closes automatically. We offer motorised dampers in several sizes.
The backdraft damper with motorised shutter is installed in the duct. Using a motorised damper in the ventilation system prevents cold air from entering the building through the ducts when the fan is not running. This protects people from drafts from return air, outdoor pollutants and unwanted airflow.
With a backdraft damper with a motorised shutter, the shutter can be forced into either an open or closed position.
The motorised damper consists of flanges made of galvanised steel and shutter blades made of seawater-resistant aluminium. The motor must be protected from rain and direct UV radiation in case of outdoor installation. The motor's protection class is IP43.
